Sorry It Has Been So Long...

Life is constantly changing and evolving, part of the dance that we all partake in every day of our lives. As artists, we too are always changing and evolving, that is the beauty in what we do. I just wanted to say that I am still around-in fact more than ever really, I am just on my other blog-Little Faerie Tales. I offer free creative workshops once a month and I actually post at least once a week if you can believe it! I also have blog giveaways, one is coming up in February actually. So I just wanted to post and say that although I may not be currently creating my whimsical Faery treasures, that it does not mean I wont come back down this path in the future. I need to follow my own heart, my own bliss and happiness and the path has taken me back to the center, the place I need to be. I hope you all will come visit my other blog and join in the workshops too!

A Pink Christmas

Blog Giveaway & Other Musings...

Good evening sweet friends, I wanted to take a moment to let you know that I will be having my first blog giveaway on my "Little Faerie Tales" blog this Friday! This giveaway will include lots of wonderful mixed media art supplies, wonderful old pages from my vintage book collection plus much more! Those goodies would be perfect for....

Now for the other musings, I hope you will all join me on 21 December...I know, I know, that date is very close to Christmas and some of you will be out of town, shopping like mad little Pixies, and trying to stay sane in the midst of all the madness. But...if you want to take an art break, just for a while, I would love for you to participate in my creative workshop I will be having on my blog that day. It is absolutely FREE-no strings attached, no sign on the dotted line, no kidding. Just some provided inspiration so you can weave your magic. "Spirit Journeys" will be a monthly art project for everyone to enjoy, and just because there is nothing I love more than helping others-no matter how small. Finally...the Pictures!!

Phew...I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with happy hearts, homes and bellies! =) That darn cold lasted longer than I hoped and than before I knew it, it was time to go shopping, decorate, not to mention still go to work, do laundry, and fill orders! I am just itching to get back to creating-it really is driving me crazy! The sad part is, it is not that I am having a creative block, I just cant seem to catch a break with Father Time right now. My idea book is getting pretty full!
But enough of that! Ireland was wonderful and beautiful and amazing and VERY COLD!!!! Patrick and I did not realize how much we truly have become acclamated to the Arizona desert weather! But we still had an amazing time, met a wonderful and dear couple (Mel and Jane-yes, I mean you two!) and saw some amazing places that we had not yet been. It is incredible that we have gone to Ireland every year for the last seven years and there is still so many places we have yet to see and experience! This was the first time we stayed in one place, normally we drive all around in a big circle of the Southern half of Ireland and stay at a different B&B every night. This time we stayed in Dublin and drove to the places we wanted to see. The one thing that we both said we were dissapointed in was that when we normally go in April, we have hours and hours of daylight. It does not get dark there in April until 9:00 or 9:30 at night. This time, the sun was barely waking at 7:00 a.m and it was back to sleep again by 4:30 or 5:00! It made getting to the places a little more difficult if the drive was long and trying to have some time to spend at the destination too! Of course we made the most of it, we always do. A lone Fairy Hawthorn tree-I left my offering at the base for the Faeries. It was full of berries!

Just happen to look up upon this mountain and catch some deer I believe, looking back at us!

Off to Ireland!

Well, It is down to the wire, just a few more days to go before we are off to Ireland! I am going to be so busy the next few days with last minute things to do and I wanted to wish you all a wonderful next few weeks! I will share all of the pictures when I get back, but just to warn you-I have an obsession with trees, I LOVE them, and usually come home with mostly pictures of Trees, Ravens, and Stone Circles! Much love to all of you!

I am so sorry I did not post sooner but I have had family in town and we are trying to get ready for our trip to Ireland as well! It has been pretty hectic but I hope to have everything a little more calmed down when we return...just in time for the holidays right!

And the Winners Are...

First let me send a HUGE THANK YOU to all of you who left a comment on my little corner of the world. I thank you so much for your sweet words over this last week! I only wish I could have drawn more of you but as I had so much fun with my first one, you know I will be doing more in the future! (Christmas is coming up, enough said!)

I went in the order of posting the pictures so the first person I drew won the Carousel, the second person I drew won the Wheel Barrow and the Third won the nest. At twilight, the Faeries fluttered into my big Crystal Singing Bowl with all the names written on small pieces of pink paper to pull out the following three names:

"Two Pixie Dolls" won the Crow Ride Carousel!
"Sweet Annee" won the Wheel Barrow
and "Lisa (Goose & Binky)" won the Fairy Nest

Fairy Halloween Whimsy!

Okay everyone, here are the pictures of the other two items I am offering in my giveaway! The first one is a sweet fairy wheel barrow ride filled with flowers and pumpkins and a sweet little Fairy with a barrel of apples! The second picture is a little faeries secret stash nest where she keeps her prize winnings from the carnival games! There is a little corked bottle of glittery stars, a rusty key and she is holding a pumpkin! Lucky little fairy! I hope you enjoy them and Good Luck to all of you!
